It's marathon season and Spen AC have had athletes in the Manchester Marathon, Boston (UK) and Boston MA.
Craig Kellett (3:49:42), Christopher Birkenshaw (4:26:06), Amanda Toher (5:29:25) and husband Paul (3:27:53) all tackled their first marathon in Manchester on the 7th April 2019. Richard Hirst (3:07:32) and Claire Thompson (3:38:38) both had fab runs, with Claire absolutely smashing her previous time on the streets in Manchester. Other runners were Stuart Nuttall (3:17:08), Lewis Bellwood (3:32:16) and Ian Wilson (3:32:55). For the full results see the webpage.
Martin Peck was in Boston (USA) for his 5th of the big 6 marathons, and Liz Bottomley and Jackie Carter started the Boston Marathon in Lincolnshire.

This Sunday sees a number of our runners competing in the London Marthon. The Club wishes them all the best and Good Luck!
