9 Spen runners complete the School Run

For the first trail race on our Grand Prix, 9 Spenites took on the challenging 5 miler in the beautiful countryside of Holme, South Huddersfield. The ‘School Run’ is part of a series of trail/fell races organised by the Huddersfield Trail Network, which tackle rocky paths, dangerous descents and mud, mud, mud. An early lead from Henry was sadly hampered by completely the wrong footwear, but finished in a respectable 8th place. But alas, it was once again the ladies promoting Team Spen, with Angie, Tracey, Kirsty, Amanda, Alison, Lisa and Vicky who gave it their all!
