6 at the Windmill 6

The windmill 6 certainly lived up to its name for the road race the first of a series of races in the South Huddersfield GP where upon completion of them all you'll receive interlocking medals.
Some of our senior ladies took up the challenge of this undulating countryside course around the Birds Edge area; first back for Spen was Lynda Robertson who won first v50, followed by Angie and the rest, with Lisa coming back from a bad back injury doing well to complete it. Our runners results were Lynda Robertson 50.57m, Angie Buckle 59.23m, Tracey Jagger 104.49m, Kirsty Sykes 108.45m, Victoria Thompson 110.41m, Lisa Dowson 111.41m
It was noted that all but Vicky had been out boozing all day Saturday at a charity afternoon tea so they were a little worse for wear!
