Great start to the new season Grand Prix

The first race of Spen’s Grand Prix was a huge success with almost 40 of us doing the Dewsbury 10K. Some great times were achieved on the flat out-and-back course along Bradford Road. Joe Sagar was 2nd overall in an outstanding 31:37, knocking a big chunk of his previous PB. Next was Simon Bolland with a PB of 33:42. Spen saw some brilliant runs from some of the younger athletes with Henry Carter (36:48), Laura Thornton smashing her PB (43:05), Charlotte Thornton (49:50), Mia Butler (49:59). One of the best performances of the day was Daniel Dalton, who absolutely demolished his previous PB breaking the magic 40-minute barrier to finish in 39:50!
It was a great race well attended by red and gold vests!
