Spenborough & District AC are proud to be supporting the West Yorkshire Track & Field League for the 2023 Season with 3 of the meetings and the Championships hosted at The Princess Mary Stadium.

Clubs from all across West Yorkshire participate in the League and only athletes registered with those clubs may compete. We hope to see a lot of Red & Gold running, jumping and throwing alongside those from other clubs, including Leeds City, Wakefield Harriers, Halifax Harriers, SKYRAC, Holmfirth Harriers, Longwood, Keighley & Craven, Bingley, Pontefract and Valley Striders.

It is a very friendly tournament, with experienced Track & Field officials there to support you and great comradery between athletes of all ages. A chance to try out any discipline in track & field and look to gain personal best performances.

There are four meetings on Wednesday evenings during the spring and summer, with the first meeting on Sunday, 23rd April and the final meeting on Sunday 6th August. Meeting not held at Cleckheaton are at Thornes Park, home to Wakefield Harriers.

Athletes have to be 9 years old to participate and you will need your England Athletics Number (URN) to enter. You can find your URN against your membership details on the website (once you have logged in), or ask the Membership Secretary for details. There is a single league entry fee of £25, which covers all 7 meetings, and allows up to 3 events per meeting for U11, U13, U15 & U17 athletes, and 5 events for U20 & seniors. Each league entrant will be given a league handbook and their number at the first meeting, which they will keep for use throughout the league season
