The Wakefield indoor series took place across January, February and March and four Spenborough athletes competed.
Joshua Myers (U11) raced, jumped and threw his way to four new PB’s by the end of the series, with four 2nd place and three 3rd place finishes in 50m, high jump, long jump, shot putt and hurdles.
Lucy Hird (U13) showed amazing determination across the hurdles, sprint, long jump and shot putt and ended the series with two PB’s.
Also in the U13 girls competition, Gabi Lauce tried the 50m, hurdles, shot putt and high jump for the first time and by the final meeting, gained three new PB’s.
Kieran Hird (U13) had an excellent series with six 2nd and two 3rd place finishes and new PB’s in 50m, 50m hurdles and shot putt.
Points were awarded across the series for the top 6 finishers in each event and the top three overall in each age group received a trophy.
