August became the month for the younger Spenborough Athletes to shine

Three of our junior athletes competed at the English Championships at Bedford. Bayleigh Lawton in the Under 15 boys 300 metres, Natalie Groves in the Under 17 girls 300 metres and Olivia Reah in the Under 17 girls triple jump.

Bayleigh’s day couldn’t have finished much better, finishing in 1st place claiming the title of National Champion in a Pb time!

Well done to all three athletes taking part at the event.

Three athletes also took part in the Yorkshire Combined Events Championships. James Bell finish 4th in the Under 15 boys Pentathlon. In the Seniors Decathlon Glenn Aspindle claimed the Gold medal with a Pb points total, and Jake Darby picked up the Bronze medal.
