A fun run at the Princess Mary Stadium, Cleckheaton, which is open to all club members and the course is on the Greenway. Members are encouraged to enter into the festive spirit and run in fancy dress - dress as Santa or perhaps as a group of Reindeer!! A prize will be given to the runner in the best fancy dress!

Every runner is expected to bring a gift wrapped present and the runners pick up a gift at the presentation according to their finishing position. Festive refreshments will also be provided.

In order to establish the handicaps (delayed starting periods) each entrant needs to let the organiser know of 3 recent races they have completed together with their times. As it is only a fun event we expect members to be honest with their submitted race times. So that every runner can have a chance of winning the race the slower runners may be expected to start just before 11 am.

The entry is free to members (apart from having to provide a Christmas present) but members MUST register with the organiser and provide their race times. There are no entries on the day - as this causes problems with the handicap system. Just let the organiser know beforehand (see details below).

A junior race is also run, separate from the adults, so bring the whole family down and have some Christmas fun!
