The annual Mileta road race organised by Spenborough will be held on Sunday 11th September 20011 starting at 11.00 hrs. CANCELLED DUE TO LACK OF ENTRIES

Brass Monkey Half Marathon

Ten members of Spen AC took part part in the annual Brass Monkey Half Marathon from York and the weather really stuck to it’s name. Very cold and windy but the sun did shine for the competitors. Over 1700 competitors completed the course.

First home for Spen was Kevin Ogden 1:17.46 next in was Anthony Bradford 1:29.13 closely followed by Ian Ogden 130.07 with a new PB performance and Oliver Carter 1:31.36 also with a new PB performance.

Next home was Alex Boryslasky 1:41.25 with Samantha Boryslasky 1:42.33 not far behind.

Hazel Pike 1:50.07, Jackie Carter 1:53.22, Suzanne Plimley 1:54.22 PB performance and Elizabeth Bottomley 2:00.04 also completed the course.
