The Spen Greenway 10K is a fast race run on the disused railway line that has been resurfaced as tarmac and maintained by Sustrans as a cycle path and walkway. Traffic-free, flat and should provide a good opportunity to record personal best times!
The race starts on the Greenway by Primrose Lane, just up from the Princess Mary Athletics Stadium (WF15 6LW, Cleckheaton, 2 miles from junction 26 M62) and is an out and back course to Low Moor, measuring 10 kilometres. With an 11:00am start, on Sunday 15th September, all runners should be back to the Spenborough & District AC clubhouse for lunch or a least a drink from the tuck shop.
There are prizes for Men, Ladies and Masters according to entry and the Northern Masters Members can enter the 10K Championships to win medals for that event too.
There is an entry limit of 200 so early booking is advised, which is available on the Spen AC website or online at Bookitzone.
